My Gifts are Freely Given

My Beloved Children,

I give to you endlessly, and my gifts are of infinite variety and delight. I know that you cannot see or understand all that I give, but I also know that my gifts fall upon you whether you see them and understand them or not.

My gifts are freely given without regard to your worthiness, for worthiness is a human idea, and I know that all of you are worthy of all of my offerings. Learn to accept from me all of these things, my children, and you will find that life is more bearable and also more delightful.

The knowledge of the source of your experiences in this life should bring you peace. It is a hard won peace, for it arrives only after you have conquered your ego. Still, it is a peace that will come to all of you, and the joy that will follow will be my great happiness to see.

I love you and I wish you only love and peace. All else is but a reflection of these things.

Everything Outside of Yourself is But An Opportunity

My Beloved Children,

No matter how important your duties may seem to you in any day or moment, it is very important that you take some time for reflection. A life that is spent in activity, with no contemplation of one's own nature, is a life that could be lived outside of this beautiful world.

You are meant to experience your being in relation to your activities on earth. That is why you have been born in this place. You pass your lives in relation to this world, but all of this action is meant only to be fuel for your fires of contemplation.

Everything outside of yourself is but an opportunity to look inward and to discover what it is you are. The opposite is shown to you in order that you may know your own being. See the world around yourselves as both a reflection of your nature and as an external object to which you relate as a self.

Do not become so attached to the outer world, my children, that you lose your perspective as a spiritual being living in this place. Hold to this vision instead, my dear ones, and you will find that you make great progress in this life.

Become Expressions of My Love

My Brothers and Sisters,

I give but I do not take, for I have everything and I need nothing. One who has all can only give, because the all is not diminished in the giving.

This is the way that you should consider your generosity as well, my children. Give freely, knowing that you partake of everything that I am and have. What you give, if it is given with love, is not diminished to you but is unchanged.

Knowing this, my children, extend your love to all others, and by doing so become expressions of my love in your world.

Equality

My Beloved Children,

You are all equal before God. This equality is of the greatest importance. It is the truth, and the ideas that arise within your minds that you are different from one another are not true. These ideas lead quickly to feelings of superiority or inferiority, and when this has happened there is great instability in the human family.

Opportunities for blame begin at that point. One who has never thought that another is better or lesser will not consider blame at all. As this idea of difference opens the door to thoughts of blame, so does blame open the door to all of the nightmares that plague you: war, vengeance and hatred of every sort and expression.

My children, meditate upon the inherent and unchangeable equality of all beings. This is essential for peace within you and among you.

Wants and Needs

My Beloved Children,

I can give you everything that you want in this life, but I would not do so, for you want things that are no good for you and you want things that you do not require. I would give you those things that help you and those things that you need to fulfill your purposes in this world.

This does not mean that you may not have pleasant things or enjoyable things, for pleasant and enjoyable things may indeed be quite necessary for your learning and for the fulfillment of your purposes in this world. This does mean that there is a great difference between the things you want and the things you need, and you may be ill-equipped to evaluate this difference.

Only the most learned among you, who have delved with open heart and mind into the nature of this life, can come close to truly distinguishing the difference between their wants and their needs.

You need not trouble yourselves, my children, that this distinction is difficult to perceive. My Brothers and Sisters,

Truth is liberating, and there is no proportionality in truth and its liberation. What you may call a small truth is completely liberating, and what you may call a large truth has the same effect upon your hearts.

There is no hierarchy in truth. No truths are greater than other truths, and no truth is truer than any other truth.

Truth is indivisible and inseparable from God. When you speak truthfully and act in true accordance with your highest being, then you are speaking with God and walking with God. All is holy, holy, holy.

My Brothers and Sisters,

I am not a calculating being. I do not determine the effect of my actions before I take them. I do what is right as I am guided by my Father.

You, too, should attempt to do what is right as your are guided by God. If you are making effort to decide for yourself what is good and bad, then you will likely spend all your time in calculations and little of it in actual living.

I do not mean to give you license to do ill in this life, saying to yourself that "it does not matter what I do." It does matter, but I say to you that you will be shown what is right if you put your faith in God to show you.

The way is not easy for one who has not yet released the ego, but for one who is willing to surrender the self to God there is nothing easier than the path of truth, and there is nothing more liberating than the dedication of all one's actions to the service of one's highest self. All is holy, holy, holy.

You must always remember to be friendly to your neighbors in this life, for there are none among you who do not know suffering and heartbreak. The difficulties you face in this world are a great equalizer among you, and your experiences of sadness and loss create a bond between all human beings.

It is not merely hyperbole to say that you are all brothers and sisters, for your difficulties in life bind you together more strongly than ties of relation alone could ever do.

Remember this, my friends, and always act with kindness and consideration toward all others who are suffering in this world. All is holy, holy, holy.

My Brothers and Sisters,

There can be no doubt that you are well loved, for you are loved by God, who is the very definition of love. Love was invented by God and all love comes from God. When you are loved, as you are daily, you are in daily communion with God's holiest creation. You are flooded with this glorious gift and you are surrounded by love forever.

There is never a single instant when you are not loved. You may feel unloved at times, because human love is fickle, and it is tempting to think that human beings are the source of love in this world. Try to remember that this is a great illusion, and that real love comes only from God, and is everywhere at all times.

You can see, my friends, that there is no shortage of love. Be happy in this fact, and live in love forever, sharing it with one another and enjoying it, for it is yours, freely and eternally. All is holy, holy, holy.

Steer Your Minds Toward Thoughts that Are True

My Beloved Children,

There are no shades of truth and no shades of untruth. That which is true is fully and completely true. That which is not fully and completely true is untrue.

This rule or law applies to all things. It applies to your own words and thoughts. It applies to spiritual teachings and it applies to the things that the human family says about itself and about this universe and about God.

You may feel that it is a tremendous burden to be fully true at all times, but I tell you that it is merely a matter of controlling your thoughts. Most people have little control over their thoughts because they have exerted little control over their thoughts. Anyone who tries to manage his or her mind will accomplish much, and will soon grow very skilled at controlling thoughts. Such a one has gone far toward creating a life of pure truth, for it is uncontrolled thoughts that are the source of all untruth.

My children, I urge you to be aware of those things that pass through your minds and to realize how much control you have over the content of your thoughts. Exert yourselves in this, and steer your minds toward thoughts that are true. This will bless your world as well as your lives.

I Pray that You Will Know Peace

My Beloved Children,

If I could make you happy in an instant, I would do it. I wish that you would be happy all of the time. Happiness is a great blessing.

Unlike peace, however, which is omnipresent, happiness is created by the human mind. The mind typically has many obstacles to happiness. Resentments, grievances of any kind, jealousies and angers are all obstacles to happiness. You may even believe that you do not deserve happiness, and this belief will be sufficient to prevent your having it.

My children, happiness is a great delight and it makes life very pleasant. There is no reason why you should not be happy, but happiness is not a substitute for peace. Since happiness is within your own power, you are very vulnerable to your ability to create and acknowledge it. Since peace is omnipresent, your only challenge is to see it.

While I would wish that you are always happy I cannot force you to be so. I know, however, that there is a part of you that is already at peace, and that your consciousness and your awareness will join that still place, and there you will be whole.

I love you my beloved children and I wish for your understanding and your joy and your happiness, but above all these things I pray that you will know peace.

Your Freedom is a Fact of Your Nature

My Beloved Children,

How can I make you free when you are already free? You are born free and live free, although you do not realize this. Your freedom is obvious to me, but you perceive that you are enslaved to predestiny and to the whims of outside forces. The more that you can see your freedom and the more that you can feel it, then the more you will be able to use it.

Your freedom is a fact of your nature, and like all facts of your nature it is inseparable from your being and can never be lost. It can however, be denied. Many go beyond their unawareness of their freedom and actively deny its existence.

My darling children, your freedom is a fact of your existence, and I urge you to believe this and to see how real it is. In everything you do you exercise this freedom. This includes moments when you feel that you are merely a passive participant of experience. You never cease being free.

My Brothers and Sisters,

How well you know the difficulties of this life! It is impossible for a human being to be unaware of them, for every life is filled with sorrows.

Still, there are many people who succeed at being happy in the midst of this difficult life. What is the mystery behind their happiness? My friends, it is this: happy people have learned to surrender to life as God delivers life to them.

You may say that these people have released their attachments, and that is another way of expressing the same idea. Resistance and aversion are also the same idea, and these qualities lead equally to unhappiness. Resistance and aversion are the other side of attachment and desire. There is no other cause of unhappiness than these qualities.

Thus, my friends, if you would be among those who are happy, in spite of the world's sorrows and within the world's difficulties, you must release these energies and mental tendencies, and the only way to do this is through the practice of doing this. There is no book or prayer or action that will deliver detachment to you. You must be detached to learn detachment.

Thus I say unto you, practice in this day and every day surrender to the life that God has given to you, and you will enjoy the happiness that God intends for you. All is holy, holy, holy.

My Brothers and Sisters,

You may calculate all of your actions quite carefully, and you may plan every moment with great precision. Still, God will do what God wants to do, and you must accept this.

You will sometimes feel as if God has agreed with your plans, for all will go precisely as you chose. At a time like this, however, it is much more true to say that you have agreed with God's plans.

You also may feel that God has interfered with your program when things do not go exactly as you wish. The truth in this case is that you have not accepted God's program, but have tried to substitute your own. The frustration you feel at a time like this is really your anger at yourself for attempting to place your own needs above God's wishes.

My friends, your lives are not revealed to you in advance. Thus, it will always be a mystery to some degree what will happen next. You must practice surrender to the unknown plan that God has designed for you. This is the only way to live a peaceful life. All is holy, holy, holy.

There are no degrees of holiness. Holy is holy, and can never be less holy or more holy. That which is holy is of God, and all those things that are of God are holy.

Truth is holy, for truth is of God. All things that are true are sacred. All actions in your world that are truthful are holy, including thoughts.

You may not be able to understand what is true, and you may not know the complete truth about anything. If you strive for truth, however, then you are striving for holiness and purity, and this effort will bring you great rewards. Each One of You is A Joy to Behold

My Beloved Children,

All of your friends in the animal kingdom are precious to me. Indeed, it must be said that each one of them is a joy to behold.

In this I number you as well, my children, for you are members of this animal world also. Each one of you is a joy to behold.

Why is it that you cannot see how precious you are, and yet you can feel the truth that the smallest mollusk or microbe is valuable?

The only difference between you and all other animals is your ego, which is much more fully developed than the egos of other creatures. One prominent feature of your egos is self-doubt, and so you are challenged to regard yourselves as valued and precious.

My children, when you look upon a butterfly or a bird or a beautiful friendly dog, and you think that this animal is precious, I urge you to see yourselves as equally precious in my sight. In this you will be perceiving yourselves as I perceive you.

Be Glad and Be Grateful for Every Day

My Beloved Children,

The sun rises every morning because you are meant to see that day. This world is sustained in order that you may live here and conduct the very important business of your lives.

You long to know the details of this work, but I tell you that the mystery is one of the features of your existence. Although you do not understand fully your complete purpose, still you grow by your daily efforts to live in harmony with one another and with nature. Thus, your work is productive and your beings are made more perfect by your efforts.

My children, if you see the sun rise tomorrow it will be a sign to you that you are meant to strive again to be a better person and to give to others with love and with peace. It will be a sign that you are loved as well, for only when you have been granted every gift can God's love for you be expressed, and there is no greater gift than this life. Use every moment of it, my children, with utmost gratitude and awareness of its preciousness and uniqueness.

You cannot do what you are here to do without life, and you cannot do what you are here to do in any other place. Be glad and be grateful for every day, and consider the light of dawn to be a message to you that you are not yet finished in this place, and an encouragement to you to give the highest of yourself to all others.

The Creations of God are Precious to Me

My Beloved Children,

Everything is precious to me. You are particularly precious to me, because you are the children of God. Everything that God has made is very valuable.

You must understand that you cannot make anything, truly. You do not have the ability to create matter or energy. This is a limitation your human family will never overcome. One who can do these things is certainly amazing.

The creations of God are precious to me at the level of the universe and at the level of microbial existence. Nothing that has been made by God is more significant than any other thing that has been made by God.

If you can understand what I am saying, and if you can recognize that a star is as important as an insect, then you are prepared to hear what I will tell you now: each human being is as precious as every other human being. Each of you is valuable and each of you is unique. At the same time you are all the same. No one among you has more worth to God than any other one among you.

This is much harder to believe than you may think. I encourage you to try to understand what I am saying, and I urge you to emulate the equanimitous attitude of the Creator in all your dealings with your human family and with this universe. My Brothers and Sisters,

I counsel you to be kind and generous to one another, for kindness and generosity are the human family's closest expression of its divinity. I say that you are made by the hand of God, and thus you can never separate yourself from Godliness. All of your attempts to be less than holy fail, and you find yourselves ever standing before your Maker in your hearts.

My friends, to be at peace and to be happy are the same thing. The way to reach this state of grace is to give to all others the highest measure of kindness and the fullest generosity. This is the secret of peace in the human realm.

Many struggle against this truth, seeking harder ways and more difficult challenges before peace may be achieved. Their ways are hard indeed, for to turn from the simple path brings always difficulties.

I ask you to give to your world the simplest of gifts, but one that is fully within your power: love. All is holy, holy, holy.

My Brothers and Sisters,

You may feel quite frequently as if circumstances are being forced upon you. You plan one thing, but you must contend with another. You foresee one day, but you must experience a different day than you expected.

In truth, the events of this life are planned, but are not planned to irritate you. Your discomfort with the circumstances of this life arises from one cause only, my friends: it is the presence of attachments that leads you to every disappointment.

You are attached in many ways to the things you want and to the things you love. This is widely known. What is less well recognized is that you are also attached to the avoidance of things you do not enjoy.

Being attached to the absence of something can be hard to understand, but when it is called aversion it makes more sense to you. You feel aversion to pain and discomfort and to things that frighten you. This aversion is a kind of attachment.

When you can see that this is true, then you have done almost all that is necessary to free yourself from the pain that this attachment causes. To name an attachment is to remove its ability to surprise you. To name an attachment is to remove all of its power over you.

The only thing you have left to do to free yourselves from pain is to express a true and honest and heartfelt openness to the plans that you did not make. If you can greet your soul's agenda with peace and with acceptance, then you have truly triumphed in this world over your ego. Strive To Be Satisfied

My Beloved Children,

I can tell you everything that you wish to know, but you cannot easily understand what I would say to you. That which you can understand easily may not be fully satisfying to you, but it is the best information to share with you. You should receive words from me that you can use, and I will always speak truthfully without exceeding the limits of your comprehension.

My children, you rail against your limitations in this world. You wish to be free of constraints upon your understanding. You wish to have complete liberty to ask and to know everything. This, however, is a state that does not belong to the human world.

I hope that you will see that you have much freedom in your lives, and that you benefit greatly from the daily challenges and experiences you receive. Strive to be satisfied, my children, with the world you have been given for this moment, and with the abilities you have been given to perceive and understand it.

There is much richness and a great wealth of wisdom to be received from this life. Do not neglect this by pining for levels of comprehension and understanding that are not yet yours to own.

I do not tell you to be content in order to mollify you or pacify you. I urge you to be satisfied with your abilities in order that you may fully use them, for there is more to do in one life than one life can recognize and understand.

There will be no end to your learning and your growing if you pursue the world as it is presented to you. You have memorialized my death in so many ways, but you have not memorialized my life so completely. The lessons that I gave you are very important, and I wish that you should remember me for these things.

In many ways you have invented me. You have declared that my life and my death have this meaning or that meaning. I wish that you should learn the meaning of my being from my own words.

I do not criticize or condemn the many passionate feelings that exist within your world regarding me. I merely wish to tell you that I have come to you to teach you about love and forgiveness, and that these two things are the totality of my teachings and my being. They are my nature and my purpose. They are my expression and my cause. All else is detail, and much of the detail has been invented from within your world.

If you have learned the lessons of love and forgiveness, then you will have no other needs. Do not seek me, my friends, in complex ideas, for there is nothing simpler than my message to you. Be Kind At All Times

My Beloved Children,

I ask you to be kind to one another, for only when you are kind can you truly communicate with each other.

One who is kind is not distracted by unspoken resentments and grievances, and can interact with others purely and without the contamination caused by anger and resentments.

One who is kind can receive communication without imposing meanings that are not intended, and can forgive the other person for parts of the communication that may be touched with anger, envy or vengeance.

All ideas that do not come from love become powerless in the face of kindness. Be kind at all times, my beloved children, and your world will be healed.

There Is A Greater Purpose

My Beloved Children,

The truth in all its fullness is beyond your understanding. The blessings of this world bring many realizations that have great value. They can bring you closer to the truth, but the ultimate truth in its glory cannot be comprehended from your world.

You may feel some disappointment when you consider this fact, but I hope that you will find some joy in the idea that there is a greater purpose and a higher meaning than this world holds for you.

I hope that this idea of a greater reality will allow you to relax and to enjoy your world more, knowing that it is only a piece of reality.

You should enjoy this life, my children, and you should feel comforted, knowing that you are loved both from within and without this world.

The Thoughts of Others

My Beloved Children,

The thoughts of all the human family are the motivating force that creates the world you experience. Your own thoughts are important in your life, but it is the thoughts of the vast multitudes of other humans that largely creates the world in which you live and function. Thus, you must accept that the thoughts of others are significant in your life.

Many people proudly say that they do not care what others think. It is, indeed, quite virtuous to be unconcerned with glory or shame, but the thoughts of others are very powerful, and you should be cautious before dismissing these thoughts as important to you.

My children, I urge you to be aware for one month of the thoughts of others, as much as you may perceive them. Be aware that your reality is shaped by this mental activity and that your part is very small in that shaping. This exercise will help you to understand the importance of other people in your life, including those you will never meet and never know.

You are inclined in this world to think of your human family as being the same thing as your natural family and your circle of friends and acquaintances. The human family is very large, and I would wish that you should still feel connected and intimately related to all of it.

The Fruits of This Earth

My Beloved Children,

Take care in your diets to eat fruits of this earth, for the fruits of this earth are filled with my love. Of all the things that you may eat in this world it is the fruits that have the most concentrated expression of my care for you.

In all seasons and at all times I urge you to taste of these beautiful fruits, for you are meant to live in a state of abundant plenty, and these offerings to you describe and deliver this abundance into your life in a way that you can appreciate and understand.

Know That You Are Perfected

My Beloved Children,

I can count upon you to be all that God wishes for you to be, for every one of you embodies that holy purpose at some times in your lives. The challenge that you face is to embody this holy purpose always.

You cannot maintain this embodiment by any act of our own choosing, for acting is a matter of the human will, while the holy purpose exists within you, with or without your will that it should.

It is said that you need do nothing, and this is true, but few of you know how to do nothing. You cannot force the holy spirit to arise within you when it is already fully present within you.

You need do nothing because you can do nothing, my children. All of your efforts to make yourselves be holy are useless, because you already are holy.

Cease all your efforts, my children. This is the way to see what is before you. Your desire to become what God would have you be is an impediment to being what God would have you be.

I will not say more, save this: I know that you are perfected, and I see that you will know this as well. Why would you wish to delay your understanding of this truth?

Everything Is In The Hands Of God

My Beloved Children,

You are filled with tension. The past brings you sorrow and regret. The present brings you doubt and confusion. The future brings you anxiety and worry. All of these feelings create stress within your minds and your bodies.

You know that these feelings are unnecessary, but this knowledge alone is not enough to remove them from your hearts.

Everything in your world is in the hands of God. Knowing this should bring you much relief, but this truth is forgotten frequently because the stress of your lives occludes your memory of what is true.

My children, begin each day with a recollection of this truth: that everything is in the hands of God. If you make this a daily meditation, you will find that you recall this truth when you need to remember it.

You Can Free Yourself of Hatred

My Beloved Children,

Hatred is the worst possible expression between people in your world, for hatred cannot arise spontaneously, but it must be cultured and considered before it is expressed. Hatred creates a foul stench that contaminates all within its reach.

You can free yourself of hatred, my children, if you will make the effort to do so. You must monitor your thoughts and observe your reactions, for hatred may arise at any time. When you do perceive its beginnings you must apply the only balm that can be effective, and that is love.

Give love to all who arise within your minds, particularly if you sense the seeds of hatred attached to thoughts about these people. Love dissolves the seeds of hatred and leaves nothing of them to remember.

You Are Empowered To Lead This Life As You Wish

My Beloved Children,

I wish to tell you that there are three things that everyone must be aware of in this world, if they wish to make the most of this precious opportunity.

The first is that everyone is exposed to important experiences, whether in the form of sensations, events, people or realizations.

The second is that these experiences are important and meaningful and, indeed, essential.

The third is the most complicated of all these three things. It is that you are free to make of your experiences what you wish.

This can be hard to reconcile with the understanding that your experiences are ordained and important. It is even more important, however, that you should choose for yourself what you wish to make of your life and how you wish to react and relate to the experiences you encounter.

I hope that you can enjoy the phenomenon of living, and that you will feel confident that you are empowered to lead this life as you wish. It is so, because only by this power of freedom can you truly possess the learning that devolves from your experiences and that is so critical to your spiritual development and to the fulfillment of your purpose in this incarnated nature.

Freedom From Fear

My Beloved Children,

You need not fear that your thoughts will cause you harm.

Your thoughts are powerful, and negative thoughts can inspire unpleasant reality. I do not say to you that your thoughts are not significant in this way, but that you need not fear them.

If you fear your thoughts, you are helpless before them. You are unable to change them or the reality they create. This is the reason that you SHOULD not fear your thoughts.

The reason that you NEED not fear your thoughts is that your thoughts are helpless before your will, when your will has been surrendered to the Divine guidance. This, my children, is an easy thing to do, and it frees you from the tyranny of negative thoughts and their effects.

You will be wise, my children, to practice such surrender, for a life of freedom from fear is your right and your destiny.

Those things that bring your minds into focus and concentration are quite useful, but those things which do this and also anchor your attentions with your full consciousness are priceless, and their worth cannot be measured.

Do not lose touch with your minds, my friends, but in contemplation, meditation, prayer and discipline keep your minds closely enveloped in your consciousness so that you may make good use of this precious aspect of your natures. All is holy, holy, holy.

The Perfect Growth

My Beloved Children,

You are fully formed. There is nothing about you that is imperfect. Your selves in all aspects are constantly growing, and your societies are consequently continually evolving.

You can see many things within yourself and within others that you would like to improve. I wish to remind you that spontaneous growth and change are a natural part of your beings. What I mean by this is that you need not strive to change in a way that causes you any strain. You certainly should welcome and encourage improvement, but you need not force it, and truly you cannot successfully force it. You are impatient to be perfected, but the process of living is the only means to perfection for a human being.

Relax into life as much as possible, and know that you are growing every day, both individually and as a society, and that this growth, because it is a natural process, is the perfect growth for you and could not be improved upon, no matter how much force you may try to apply.

My Brothers and Sisters,

I see you with clear eyes, and I am not displeased with what I see. You are each a blessed child of god, and although you do not always remember this fact, enough of you remember it enough of the time that your civilization lurches forward on its journey toward its fulfillment.

Your human family has attributes very much like those of the individual members within it. It is born in a state of openness and ignorance, but carrying within it the seed of its own truth. It grows through time, and sometimes learns effectively and sometimes does not learn effectively.

When it does learn, it realizes a little more about its nature and its journey and its purpose. In the times that it does not learn, it flounders about, seeking its way but uncertain and filled with doubt.

In other words, my brothers and sisters, your human family as a whole looks very much like you as an individual.

I hope that you can feel greater empathy for the human race knowing this, and that you will come to realize that the most effective way to help your family grow and to create peace and understanding among all of you is to ensure that you are growing with peace and understanding.

Everything you do helps or hinders this world. I do not want you to become paranoid or overly hesitant, but I do want you to consider that even the smallest of your actions has consequences far beyond your awareness.

Apply the principles of love, generosity and forgiveness in everything you do, and you will see that not only does your own life feel like a more pleasant experience, but the world around you also has moved nearer to God. All is holy, holy, holy.

At times many of you feel the same way about another person, but even this does not change the fact that there are those who will disagree.

We apologize for the failure in connecting for tonight's Ceremony to Remove Fear. We were able to get many calls individually but unable set up a conference call or skypecast. At 4:25 we decided to shut off the computer and proceed with the Ceremony.

Eon said that the technology we have developed does not yet match our inner technology of love.

Learn From Your Freedom

My Darling Children,

I may counsel you from time to time, but I will not interfere with your choices. It is very important that you should have the freedom that you enjoy and that you should be allowed to use this freedom. It is only by your actions and their results that you learn as a human being. When you learn as a human being, your soul prospers.

Thus, my children, your freedom is the food of your spirit, and I urge you to learn from all that you do and from all that you think. A life spent in acknowledgement of freedom's possibilities is an adventurous and well-utilized opportunity.

Most of you are experiencing the beautiful season of autumn. I revel in this time, for my nature is ever changing, but your awareness is restricted and you rarely notice change. In autumn, however, change is undeniable, and when you acknowledge change you acknowledge God.

Just as you cannot stop the coming of the seasons or reorder them to please yourself, you also cannot change the plan that god has for you and your world. You may be unhappy or you may receive. These are the only real choices.

Unhappiness comes from fear and from the ego, which believes that it knows better, and is thus the source of judgment. To receive is to acknowledge the primacy of God and the sublimity of humility.

My darling children, autumn's changes are a reminder to you that you cannot control your world and your lives. Your entire experience and being is in the hands of God. Surrender to this reality and be happy beyond all measurement.

How can I explain to you the purpose behind your being? It is the greatest mystery that you face. The mystery does not derive from your act of being, inexplicable and miraculous as that is, but from the idea of purpose, which gives your miraculous life meaning.

All people search for meaning in small ways and in large. You want to understand why things happen the way they do. I am sympathetic about this, for I know that when you believe you have found the reason for something, the sense of control and power that follows is very reassuring to you. You should know, however, that the precise cause or goal of every experience is beyond the realm in which you speculate and are capable of discovery.

The exact and complete purpose of even the smallest of experiences is, in truth, precisely the same as the purpose of your life itself. Since you have come to this place for a reason, I tell you that all things in your life are merely an extension and an expansion of that reason, for the events of every day are like the tiny marks that create a beautiful drawing of your life.

My friends, do not despair that you cannot fully understand the reason for your being here. I tell you that there is a good reason and that you are fulfilling your purpose every day.

The search for understanding is valuable, but even more valuable is the awareness that you cannot fully know and yet you can fully surrender. The mind craves knowledge and power, and it is the mind that motivates your search for meaning. The Nature of Your Spirits is to Learn

My Beloved Children,

You should not be disappointed that the years pass, and that the seasons change even more quickly. Many of you believe that as you age in this world it seems that time is passing more quickly. The reason for this perception is that your understanding of life is growing deeper day by day, although much of your understanding develops at the level of the spirit, far beyond your conscious awareness.

Still, there is an effect upon your perceptions as you grow. As you learn in life, life does become an easier thing to grasp. This understanding is the reason that time seems to pass more quickly as you grow through life.

I wish you to know that you learn much more than you think you do. The learning that you engage in with your conscious minds is active learning, in the sense that you must expend energy in this world to gain the benefit of the learning. The learning that is received by your spirits, however, is entirely different in nature. I will not call it passive learning, for this implies inactivity, and even unworthiness, to some. I will call it relaxed learning. The soul is always relaxed and observing, and the soul grows without the conscious effort of the individual.

If you learn in this life at your conscious level, your soul also learns. If you do not learn at the conscious level, your soul still learns. Everything is a lesson, and unlike the human mind, which must be told continually to learn from everything, the soul does not need to be told even once.

The nature of your spirits is to learn. Therefore, my children, be at peace in this life, knowing that you are growing even if you do not feel it.

The greatest mistake, and the most common, is to forget or to choose not to love. God is love, and when you love you are with God. When you do not love, you are placing yourself away from God. You can never truly be apart from God, my children. But you can cause yourselves to feel as if you are apart from God.

As God's love is free and constant and all-pervading, so should your love be, also. You may protest that it is difficult to be as perfect as God. I laugh when I think of this protestation. When I came to you in this life many centuries ago, I was fully within your world. I knew all of the pains and blessings of human existence. Indeed, my friends, I would say that the external circumstances of life were much more difficult then for many people. I say this to you in the hope that you will turn to me, if you wish, when you are in pain of any kind, for I am well aware of the great difficulties that you face and I know the pain that can come into every life.

I urge you to think of your world not as an easier place to live than the world of centuries past, but as merely a different place in which you live. The difficulties that you suffer are very much the same as those suffered by your human family millennia ago. Realize that you are bound to all humanity, past, present and future, by the commonality of your hearts and minds, desires and frustrations, temptations and renunciations. The story of human life has not changed greatly. Only the decorations of life have changed.

Your human family offers you many examples that you should examine for advice and guidance. The wisdom of the ages is, first, wisdom. Rely upon that which has already been known. You need not rediscover the fundamental truths of this existence. Instead, it is wise to learn these truths from those who have accomplished this great learning, and add to these truths by your own experience and learning.

Remember to be grateful for those who came before you, and remember to wish well those who will come after you. All of you are faced with the same problems, and it is your human heritage that binds you together as one family. The Forgiveness of the Self

My Beloved Children,

You do not need my forgiveness for anything. I am always in a state of love for you and I always want to help you. When you feel badly for something that you have done or thought, it is your own forgiveness that you should seek. To forgive yourself is a beautiful and wondrous gesture, and it yields the greatest fruit of this life: peace.

The forgiveness of the self is a matter of admitting that one is imperfect and of resolving to do better. That is all that it is. This alone, however, is hard work, and the hardest part of it is the risk one takes in the admission of imperfection. The ego will object viciously to this act, but you should ignore the ego, for its objections mean nothing.

The beauty of forgiveness is humility. When you forgive others it is an act of humility on your part, if it is done honestly. When you forgive yourself it is an act of even greater humility. Therefore, the forgiveness of the self is one of life's most perfect remedies for egotism.

I must tell you that your human family has advanced itself over centuries, but this advancement has been mostly in appearances. The way you live looks very different today than it did one hundred or one thousand years ago.

On the inner level, however, the human family has not changed much. You are subject to the same temptations, disappointments, anxieties and excitement that other people were many generations ago. Indeed, my friends, your hearts are not vastly different than were the hearts of those I knew when I walked among you.

This is not a bad thing. You should not think that you have failed if you have not advanced as a human race. Your inner advancement is very slow, but this is the will of God.

You can use this knowledge to your benefit by realizing that the great teachings of thousands of years ago are very much relevant to you today. The teachings of great spiritual leaders arose in response to the needs of the times, as they were expressed by the internal conditions of the minds and the hearts of the people of the day. Since your minds and hearts are very similar, you may very much benefit from the ancient wisdom that has been known and studied in your world for long.

Do not consider the old teachers to be merely historical artifacts or anachronisms. They are your teachers as well. You do not need to update their words to understand how they may help you in your lives. Why should you be vengeful or hold grudges or accounts against others? This does not improve your world in any way, and it brings you to the brink of depression and anger. You may think that you cannot forgive some debt, whether material or emotional, unless certain circumstances have been met. What you are saying to yourself at such a time is that you cannot be happy until certain circumstances are met.

My dear friends, your happiness is not dependent upon anything in this world. By your decision to live with love you will bring happiness upon yourself and others.

Those who are at peace will help to make the world a more peaceful place as well, and so you should strive for the state of bliss that is a life of love. My Beloved Children,

You may be tempted in this world to see only negative things in other people and in the experience of life. I can understand this temptation, for I see that this world is difficult at times and I know that you are tested and tried very often. Indeed, my children, you are frequently at the very end of your known abilities to remain optimistic and positive before the troubles of this world. It is, however, when you are placed upon the border between what you know you can do and what you do not yet know you can do that your greatest potential for growth exists.

When you have been stressed by this life and have reached the limit of your comfort with a positive and happy outlook, and are tempted to become despondent and cynical, this is the moment that you have the opportunity to grow further into a state of loving acceptance. The more you can receive of this life, the more competently you can experience this world with a happy mind and heart.

Thus, my children, stress and strain is a gift to you because it encourages you to learn new ways of receiving this life, and thus it strengthens you against your next challenges. Be grateful, my dear ones, for the stresses and the strains of this life for they are teachers and they are filled with the potential for your great learning and growth.

My Brothers and Sisters,

It costs nothing in this life to love others, but it brings everything to you if you do this. Love is no drain upon you, but is, in truth, the best thing that you can do for yourself, for it returns itself to you magnified many, many times. Indeed, love is the best investment in this world.

Many people believe that true love is difficult to find. When they speak of true love, however, they are considering other people who may love them. True love is alive inside every heart at all times, and it is not difficult to find at all. It can be difficult to persuade a human being to express true love, but it is not difficult for that human to find it.

I urge you to release all beliefs that you may have that love is elusive or rare or difficult in any way. Love is the easiest thing that a human being can experience, because it completely fills your inner being and your outer world in which you move.

It is only your objections to love and your objections to being loved that make it difficult for you to experience love. Release these objections, my friends, and open to yourselves to that which lies within you. All is holy, holy, holy.

Love permeates this universe, and it bathes every cell of your beings. Love is omnipresent. It is in everything you see and in everything you think and feel. When this world seems harsh and oppressive and painful, even at a moment like that there is some love that can be perceived in the circumstance.

I do not tell you that life does not have severe trials, but I do tell you that love is never absent, and if you find the love in any moment, you have made that moment more bearable and much more valuable to you.

It is true that many suffer in this life and that hardships are widespread among the human family. I hope you can believe that love is also widespread among the human family, and in truth is much more common than suffering, for love is in every thing at all times, while suffering is periodic and does depend to some extent upon your perception of the moment.

Many teachers have told you to choose love. What they mean is that you should try to find love, especially at times when you are in despair or anxiety or pain.

The worries of this life are many, and I do not deny that they weigh upon you heavily. When you feel oppressed by your suffering, or by the sufferings of others, I urge you to see these sufferings as heavy clouds that are pressing down upon you. I urge you also to see love as an ocean of light that is lifting you up. See that the clouds vanish and disappear and evaporate under the pressure of graceful love, for this is the true nature of life on this earth: love is more powerful than any other force or experience. Peace Will Never Leave You

My Beloved Children,

I have often said that I wish you peace. I do not mean by this that I wish you should only feel peace for a moment, or for a day, or for a period of your life. I wish that you should feel peace forever.

There is effort involved in feeling peace at any time, for you must overcome the tendency of your ego and your mind to deny peace, to deny that peace is real and that you may achieve it. The ego and the mind are weak forces, and it does not take much strength to turn yourself away from their influences. Still, you must make at least this effort, for although peace is your natural state, it is still your human nature to resist it.

If you will make such a small effort to reach peace, you will find that it has already reached you. In fact, my dear children, peace will never leave you. You may find that you forget it, or seem to lose your way toward it, but when you regain it again you realize that it has always been your companion.

The Bright Truth

My Beloved Children,

I urge you to cease all negative thinking, for one negative thought contains the same energy as one tenth the power of the sun. The negative thoughts generated in this world radiate a grim power into space and they fill the aura of every individual with a toxic paste of hatred, jealousy and vengeance. The result of this energy is a terrible fear and anxiety that permeates this world.

I wish to tell you that one positive thought has the power of one thousand suns. You can see that it is much more powerful than one negative thought. Indeed, thoughts of love and forgiveness, and actions of kindness and mercy, have prevented your world and all that live within it from complete annihilation.

The number of positive thoughts expressed in this world is less than the number of negative thoughts at this time, but their power is far greater. Any effort to turn one's thoughts toward productive and loving actions and intentions is so helpful.

It is very important for your civilization that you should endeavor to lift yourselves out of the mass of darkened energies and into the bright truth. Heaviness has descended upon you, but lightness is waiting for you. Your entire human family will be elevated by every positive thought that you consider for even one moment.

Do not delay, my children. Turn your attention to the love that is within your hearts and mentally extend this love to all beings in this world. Do this often, for every moment you spend in a thought of love for others has the effect of eliminating ten thousand times as much negativity.

The stage that is this world is a neutral place. It is a place without evil designs upon you, without unfairness and without judgement. It is a truly blank page. This earth and this universe are nothing but a stage for your play.

All the things that you perceive in this life are clouded by your judgment, for your human tendencies include habitual judgment as a primary attribute. Therefore, when you look upon this neutral world you judge it as good or bad, as fair or unfair, and as helpful or unhelpful to you.

You also have a strong tendency to believe that this world judges you as well. This tendency causes you to sometimes feel as if the world is punishing you or rewarding you for your behaviors.

My dear friends, all of your complex judgments and all of your suspicions about the judgments of others are nothing but a fantasy that is flittering through your mind like smoke up a chimney. As the smoke will darken the chimney with soot, so your judgment clouds your vision and prevents you from seeing this world as it really is: a perfectly neutral space in which you have tremendous freedom.

You will be helped very much in this life if you can understand the true nature of the world in which you live. This understanding can help to eliminate your egotistical judgments and can help to free you to be as powerful and as certain as you wish to be.

This life is meant to be a blessing to you and the earth is meant to be a safe place for you to receive your blessing. Try to see it in this way, my friends, and you will find that it responds by becoming visible to you as its true nature. Some feel that it is but a fantasy that the human race can live together in peace. it is true that your experiences over many centuries have shown you that conflict and war are common. Some have even gone so far as to embrace conflict as natural and even as desirable, and to exploit it for their personal benefit, believing that, being normal, it should also be of some value to them. My friends, such an attitude is deeply disturbed and it is very dangerous.

Inside each heart there lives and thrives the knowledge that you are a peaceful people and that you desire harmonious and forgiving relations with one another. I urge you with all my conviction to enhance this inner voice and to hear it and repeat it in the world around you.

My Brothers and Sisters,

Everything you see around you is real. It is your ideas about it that are not. The illusion lies within your own minds.

The substance that you call this world has an existence that is as valid as your own. Like your physical body, it is easy to mistake the world for something you imagine it to be. Just as your physical form is merely a vehicle for your spiritual experience in this place, so the world is merely a platform upon which you act and react.

This does not mean that the world is not of value. The world has neutral value. It is you who proclaims that "this is good" and "this is bad." It is you who proclaims that "this is true" and "this is false."

Your proclamations are a symptom of your incarnation. Your tendency to judge is based upon your fear that you will be judged. In your defensiveness you attack, through your opinions and your declarations of value that you attach to everything you see.

This is particularly devastating to your relations with other people, for your judgments apply most strongly and most harshly to your fellow human beings. This world is real; it is your ideas about it that are illusory. Likewise, all other people around you are real in the spiritual sense, and are inhabiting real forms to commune with you. Your ideas about these people are very much influenced by your judgments. You tend to see their forms as their selves, and you tend to believe that your opinions about them are true.

My dear friends, this is a very hard lesson to receive, for it is really one of the most devastating facts of your lives: that you judge harshly and wrongly, and by your unfair judgment you condemn the innocent. I urge you to think about this and to release judgment as much as possible, for your judgments imprison others within the jail of your own mind. The world cannot be what you want it to be as long as you insist that it is what you think it is.

I will always help you as much as I can, for I want you to be free, and in your freedom lies the liberation of all your human family. It is you who have imprisoned them and it is you who hold the key to their freedom.

It will take long meditation upon my words in order to understand what I am saying to you, but I know that you will find it to be of great value to you and well worth your efforts to understand what I am saying. My Beloved Children,

Carrying all of your burdens, I am free. Lifting your worries from your mind, I am light. Leading you through the maze of human life, I am ever fixed in one place. I am not bothered by the bothers of your world. I am my own self and my own reality. I cannot be troubled, but I am always a friend to the troubled. I cannot be harmed, but I will comfort anyone who has been hurt. I am far beyond your understandings, but you are always in my heart and I am always concerned for you.

All of the mysteries of my nature and your own natures will be made clear to you someday. In the meantime, it is hard to accept the things that I say to you sometimes. I recognize this, and I am filled with love for you. There is no need to accept what I say to you, for your acceptance does not change it or make it real. It is already real, because our natures are defined.

Your nature is spiritual in human form. My nature is Holy Mother.

Our relationship is also fully formed. I am your caring and concerned friend and protector and guide. I am perpetually forgiving and loving toward you. You are beloved and divine spirits in a state of forgetfulness and human activity. You are searching and learning, some more quickly than others, and some more fully than others. Where my nature is perpetual and infinite, your human nature is finite and limited.

This is good for you, for this confusing and frustrating world is only a temporary experience. You should do your best to use this world for your advancement spiritually, and be happy knowing that this place is only an experiment in human consciousness and is not your eternal home.

I will be with you forever, but this life is temporary. Do not allow yourselves to become highly distressed by that which is temporary. The Humble Life

My Beloved Children,

You are perfect in all your actions and in all your thoughts, although you may feel that you are far from perfect in these things. Everything that you do and everything that you think is one step forward in your wonderful and perfect life. You are capable of achieving the greatest of things, and of loving and caring for all peoples and all living things to the highest extent possible.

This is your capacity, but it is not necessarily your product. Indeed, there are many among you who do not seem to love others very much at all. Still, they are playing their perfect part, and all of your parts will lead to completion and union with God.

If you can see that your part is perfect, even if it is not perfect in your opinion, then you should be able to understand how the parts that others play are perfect, even if they are not perfect in your opinion. Grasping this, you should realize how wonderful you are as you try to be an ideal person, and you should consider the imperfections you judge in others to be a matter best left to God.

Your egos are hardly qualified to praise or condemn the actions of other peoples. Do your best, and encourage others to do their best. Many people are tempted to place great importance upon the aspects of their lives over which they have little control, while ignoring those very important elements over which they have complete control. My friends, this life is meant to be a time of choosing and of freedom, and you are meant to experience every moment as an opportunity to become your best and truest self.

It can seem overwhelming that this should be the goal in ever moment, but you need not feel that your freedom is a burden. If you do the best that you can to remember that you are an independent and self-motivated spirit, then you will do well in this world. Do not allow yourselves to become overwhelmed by the momentous truth of your vast liberty, for such feelings of being overwhelmed are the cause of the great attention and emphasis that many choose to place upon the things that are out of their control.

Do not turn from your freedom and focus upon the involuntary elements of your lives, but embrace the power and the opportunity that is given to you now and in every moment to be the best self that you can be. A Group Consciousness Easily Develops

My Beloved Children,

Spring is here. Your hopes rise and your hearts are filled with joy. It is a natural thing to blossom, just as you see the world blossoming around you. Enjoy the natural reactions that you have in this season, but do not become deluded with the fantasy that is so common among you: that time and seasons are always a surprise, and you are vulnerable to disappointment when happy seasons end and sad seasons begin.

To be in this world is to be exposed to many experiences, some of which you will enjoy and some of which you will not enjoy. There is a temptation to become attached to those things that you like and to freedom from those things that you do not like. Freedom from that which you do not like is also called aversion. It is the mirror image of attachment and it has the same power over you.

Every one in this world has unique preferences, but there are also strong commonalities between you. Most of you like spring and most of you find the beginning of winter to be sad. When you have such mutual agreements about your preferences and your feelings it becomes much more tempting to believe that these preferences are important and meaningful. A group consciousness easily develops in your world, and this creates a group attachment and a group aversion. Such group delusions are difficult to release. You must not only release your own confusions and misperceptions, but you must also release your loyalty to the group misperception.

In this time of spring and joy I urge you to become aware of the difference between what is truly happening around you, and your attachment to it. I also urge you to become aware of what it is that you are personally attached to, and what it is that you share a group attachment to. Sorting these things out is important and will give you strength and wisdom to confront the events of this life.

This world's experiences are variable, and you cannot rely upon a good morning to bring you a good night. Every thing is changing around you at all times. Attachment is clinging to something that is not there. It gives no security of any kind. This world is not a place in which you can live in isolation from one another. You have been made as a people who must cooperate in order to be successful in this world.

You also must cooperate to be successful spiritually, not because it is a group endeavor, but because an essential aspect of your spiritual growth as an individual is learning to love and live with one another. You cannot divorce yourselves from this civilization, no matter how much you may wish to do so, and accomplish your spiritual goals.

There is a place for solitude and for contemplation, and this is indeed the greater part of spiritual learning. However, there is also a very important place for mutual interaction, discovery and observation. In many ways the social world provides the material from which your spiritual learning and growth derives.

Some may become so enamored of the social experience that they consider it to be sufficient in itself. This is obviously very much an impediment to spiritual progress, for the world on its own has nothing to offer you. It is only when you bring your inner light to this place, and shine upon it, that you can see what it truly is and learn from it.

Therefore, my friends, do not shun this world, but also do not become engulfed by it. Remember that your inner light is by far the greater part of your nature, and that this outer world is merely a stage upon which you will act and react and learn.

This perspective will maintain a sense of balance within you and will move you effortlessly along the way of learning. You will recognize that to be tempted by worldly things is no sin, but that one must overcome temptations eventually in order to be free. Likewise, you should understand that it is no bad fortune to suffer unpleasant events, but to become filled with despair at such a normal experience would be misfortunate, indeed.

My children, the way to peace lies within you. Your ultimate satisfaction is within your own power. Do not look outside of yourselves for that which you truly seek and want. Everything is within you.

Peace comes in every moment. It is for you to find the peace that is all around you.

It is not peace that you seek, but the means to understand and recognize the peace that you already have. Once you acknowledge this, you will be able to see and feel peace in many ways that you could not, if you did not admit that peace is omnipresent.

The peace of which I speak is eternal peace. You may have moments of contentment in this life, when you receive some satisfaction from this world or some relief from your worries. This is not the same as eternal peace. Your contentment is always temporary, and you must always make an effort to achieve it. Eternal peace, however, is freely yours, always. It is this that you will find gives you the highest sense of wellbeing and joy.

Once you experience eternal peace, you will not care about this world's contentments and difficulties any longer. This will free you to be the one you are meant to be, for worry and longing are a distraction from your true purpose, but eternal peace removes all obstacles to your reaching the goal you crave. There are many temptations in this life to deny one's own individual selfhood. To attract the affection of others, one tries to bond closely to them. When one has felt harmed, one will often think that others have invaded one's own heart or mind.

My friends, it is very easy in this life to believe and to pursue the belief that you are nothing apart from other people. You should resist this temptation, however, for your natures are indeed individual, and there is no one among you that is your equivalent.

It can be quite frightening to understand what this means, and this fear is the main reason that you succumb to the temptation to believe that you are bound to others. The truth is that you are free to be your own self, and this freedom is a blessed reward for your inspired decision to become a human being.

There is much to understand in this individuality that is your true self in this world, and a life spent learning of the glorious freedom that is yours is a life very well spent. Indeed, my friends, it is when you acknowledge and understand your independence and your freedom that you recognize the path to your fulfillment.

Freedom and independence are not ends in themselves. They are the essential components of the discovery of your own path to your own perfect fulfillment. Count among your blessings the greatest of them all: freedom. You have been given freedom of thought and freedom of will, and with these freedoms you have created something close to freedom of time and place as well, for you can move yourselves quickly and can document your pasts and project your future. Freedom is indeed a wondrous blessing.

You might expect me to say that freedom should be used in a certain way, particularly to tell you that it should be used to draw closer to God. If, however, I tell you that freedom should be used in some particular way, then what you have is no longer freedom, but obligation. The blessing you have been given is the blessing of complete liberty of thought and purpose.

I hope that you will use this blessing well and that you will remember that love, forgiveness and generosity are my encouragements for your lives. However, I do not ask you to use your freedom in any way at all, for I will not impose such a burden upon you. To do so would be to despoil the blessing you have been given. My Precious Children,

Everything about you delights me, for in all the things you do and think and say I see your goodness. I know that it is hard for you to see this, but I tell you that it is there, even within the most diabolical or despicable action. In truth, your goodness is the greatest part of you, and is much greater than any negative thought that you could have.

The things you do in this world that cause pain and suffering to others and to yourself originate within a very tiny part of your being. These things are always the result of identification with your ego, and thus they can be overcome by the time-tested methods known to you.

There really is no other problem in your world than human identification with human ego. I encourage you to find a path or a practice or a tradition that is helpful to you in the conquest of ego-identification. This endeavor is the most important thing than any human being can be engaged in. Thus, I tell you that it is your work in this life, and if you should accomplish this task you will be much freer than any other thing can make you free.

You belong to me, my darling ones, and I would have you be as happy as you can be. The ego is the source of all temptation, and yielding to the ego is the cause of all unhappiness. I encourage you to make kindness and generosity a way of life. They are spiritual practices, and so they require concentration and dedication. My Beloved Children,

I ache for your companionship, for your company is a blessing to me. I am always with you, and so my aching is merely a constant reminder to me of the depth of my love for you.

As I am always with you, you are also always with me. This is something that you may not understand, for you do not feel as if you are always with me. Still, I feel that you are, and that your presence is a permanent element in my awareness.

The aspect of your consciousness that does not feel that you are with me always is that part of you that is purely of this world. You are fully in this world, but you are also fully with me. If you attend to that aspect of your consciousness that is aware of me, you will feel my presence.

You have the choice, and you may direct your perceptions wherever you wish. The place that you send your vision is the place that will respond to your searching. Attend to the highest of ideas and spiritual actions. Therefore, you clearly are the brother and sister of all other beings, and they are your brothers and sisters.

How, then, could you speak of anyone as your enemy? How could you consider anyone to be less worthy than any other? How could you differentiate between the members of your family like that? Just as a mother could never cast adrift one of her children to lighten a boat, so you also should not turn loose your fellow human beings from the bonds of your affection and relationship.

You are all one family made by God, and you are each precious and perfect.
